President Dave Lockhart requested I pass on some information:

The NYAL is closing the NYALMA; we have no treasurer and have been unable to get certain required legal status such as EIN and can't open a bank account.

Therefore there will be no annual meeting / election at convention. The video conference previously scheduled as our meeting will be held as an "information session" (the link to join on the NYAL zoom account will be sent when available).

At the same time as the video information session, there will be an in-person information session and luncheon:

July 14, 2022 the Lost Dog Restaurant, 221 Water St. Binghamton.
Across the street & just south from the Double Tree at the intersection of Water and Henry Sts.

Menu is buffet style and selection will be Teriyaki Marinated London Broil and Rigatoni A-La Vodka, brownies for dessert. A projector is available. (Arrangements thanks to Dorolyn Perry)

RSVP by email to Dave @
How this will be paid for will be decided later.

After convention, the NYAL will form a committee to be named "media alliance" and all former press / media association members will be able to be members. Details will be explained and questions answered on July 14th.

I have enjoyed the 15 years I have been involved as a member of NYALPA and wish everyone all the best.
